On the 22nd of February, I went on a trip organized by Auntie Nomthee, and it came at a time when I really needed it. The month before had been really tough for me, and I was carrying a lot of sadness. From the very start, Auntie Nomthee’s organization and care stood out. She plans with so much love, patience, and attention to detail. That trip didn’t just give me a break — it gave me healing. It started off as my cousin’s friend’s trip, but because of Auntie Nomthee’s heart, it ultimately became a family trip. She created a space where I could reconnect with my cousins, build deeper bonds with them, and even make a new friend I’ll be grateful for forever. Being at Mabalingwe reminded me to appreciate the people around me and to find joy in the smallest things. It taught me to look for the positives even after going through something painful. Auntie Nomthee is truly the best trip planner I know. She’s even planning my 18th birthday now, and I honestly can’t wait — because I know it will be just as special.
